Privacy Statement


PXS provides various services to telecom providers and telecom regulators, such as number portability, subscriber registration and number management. To provide the best level of service, we process some of your personal data. During processing, your privacy is always a priority.

This privacy statement explains which of your personal data we process and why we do so. We also lay out how we handle the personal data and what your rights are.


What are personal data?

Personal data are data that say something about an identified or identifiable natural person. Meaning, data about you or that can be traced back to you.

Why do we process personal data?

As mentioned, we process your personal data to adequately provide our services . Additionally, personal data is used – among other things – to collect invoices, to communicate with you, or to comply with legislation.


Which personal data do we process?

We can process the following personal data:

  1. Name/company name
  2. Street name and house number
  3. Zip code
  4. Place of residence
  5. Phone number
  6. Email address


Are we allowed to process your personal data?

We are allowed to process your personal data if there is a so-called ground for it. These grounds are described in Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We process your personal data based on one of the following grounds:

  1. Processing is necessary to execute an agreement to which you are a party, or to take measures at your request before completing an agreement,
  2. We need to process data to comply with legal obligations, or the telecom provider does,
  3. You have given us, or a telecom provider, permission to process your personal data for specific purposes,
  4. There is a legitimate interest, such as sending out our newsletter, improving services or informing you about the use of the services.


How do we protect your personal data?

To protect your personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing, we take various technical and organisational measures.

For example, we use logical access security, authorisation management and encryption of personal data. Additionally, we constantly monitor our websites and infrastructure for security leaks, and we use firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Finally, we make agreements with suppliers about information security.


How long do we keep your personal data?

We do not store your personal data longer than necessary, or in accordance with the retention period instructed by your telecom provider. The law may oblige us to retain personal data longer. After the retention period, your personal data will be removed or anonymised, so it can no longer be traced back to you.

Do we share your personal data with third parties?

Sometimes we have to share your personal data with a third party to provide our services. If that is the case, we sign a processing agreement with the party in question (in accordance with applicable laws and regulations).

We do not share your personal data with parties who use it for their own purposes, unless this is necessary to comply with legal obligations.

If a party outside the European Economic Area (EEA) processes your personal data, we take measures to ensure an appropriate level of security.


What are your rights?

You have certain rights when it comes to your personal data, as listed below.


Right of inspection

You have the right to see which of your personal data we process.


Correction and removal right

Under certain circumstances you have the right to have your personal data modified or removed, if the personal data is incorrect or if the processing is not justified.


Right to object

If we process your personal data for purposes that are not according to the agreement or to comply to a legal obligation, you can object. If you object to using your personal data to inform you about PXS activities, we will suspend using your personal data for that purpose.


Right to restriction

You also have the right to limit the processing of your personal data, meaning we temporarily 'freeze' the processing. For example:

  • If you are awaiting the assessment of a correction request,
  •  If the personal data should be removed, but you request to limit processing instead,
  • If we no longer need the personal data, but you still need them – for example, to prepare for a lawsuit,
  • If you are awaiting the assessment of an objection.


Right to data transfer

If we process your personal data with your permission, or through an agreement, you can request this personal data in a common file format. You can forward this data to another party.


Withdrawal of consent

If we process your personal data with your consent, you can withdraw that consent. From that moment on, we stop processing this specific personal data. All previous processing remains legitimate and cannot be withdrawn retroactively.
