PortingXS, opgericht in 2001, is een Nederlands Numbering Solutions Provider actief in Telecommunicatie and IT. Na de invoering van nummerbehoud / nummerportabiliteit in Nederland bleek in de telecommunicatiemarkt behoefte te bestaan om de toegenomen administratieve en technische werkzaamheden die het porteringsproces met zich meebracht zo goed en goedkoop mogelijk onder te brengen buiten de eigen organisatie. PortingXS had oog voor dit gat in de markt en startte een flexibele backoffice-organisatie voor de uitvoering van nummerporteringen.

Wat begon als een ambitieus plan is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een degelijke en gespecialiseerde onderneming op het gebied van bewaakte nummergerelateerde diensten voor de telecommunicatiemarkt wereldwijd.
PortingXS levert hiernaast een serieuze bijdrage in adviestrajecten en ontwikkelingen in telecommunicatie en IT technologie, specifiek waar het nummermanagement, nummerportabiliteit en gerelateerde diensten betreft. Kenya – Mobile Number Portability (MNP) implementation
We implemented a Central Reference Database with inter-operator communications. The system implemented was a “standard” PortingXS solution, with a 4 message process for an inport and SMS functionality for validation.
N-Base
Development and implementation of N-Base, a complete number management solution.
Ghana – Mobile Portability process
Project for PortingXS was running from October 2010 until the going live date of July 7th 2011. We have implemented a Central Reference Database with inter operator communications, customized to the requirements of the operators. Customer Authorisation is initiated by the customer, sending an SMS to the database.
Panama – Custom Made System
The delivered system was custom made. Scanned documents are part of the Porting Request, and after a Blocked Request by the Donor Operator, Regulator ASEP checks if this is a valid blocking reason or not. If the reason is not valid, ASEP can overrule and the order is authorized OK.

Cayman Islands – Fixed and Mobile Number Portability solution
The solution implemented on the Caymans Islands is an Centralized Database solution with inter operator messaging. It follows the standard number porting process for Fixed and Mobile, with IVR and SMS validation solutions in place. The project started in February 2011 and number portability went live on 20 February 2012.
Gibraltar – Centralized Database Solution
What we implemented in Gibraltar is a Centralized Database solution with inter operator messaging. It follows the standard number porting process for Fixed and Mobile, with IVR and SMS validation solutions. The lead time for a mobile port is 24H, for fixed NP it may take up to 3 weeks.
Bahamas – Fixed Number Portability solution
The solution implemented on The Bahamas is a Centralized Database solution with inter operator messaging. It follows the standard number porting process for Fixed, with the IVR validation solution in place. The contract is signed in April and started May 2013. FNP was live on the 2nd of December 2013.
Haiti – Mobile Number Portability solution
This process was initiated by the CONATEL (regulator of Haiti). Due to external delaying factors, the system is not live yet. Expected go-live of the system is TBD. The mobile operators involved in the process are: − Digicel Haiti − Natcom
Jamaica – Fixed and Mobile Number Portability solution
The solution implemented on Jamaica is a Centralized Database solution with inter operator messaging. It follows the standard number porting process for Mobile, with the SMS validation solution in place. The contract is signed in March and the project started March 2015. MNP was live April 2015.
International Number Gateway Solution
Development of an International Number Gateway solution, expanding our services to other existing environments.
Senegal – Mobile Number Portability
Orange connects to gateway using the Inports solution.
Trinidad and Tobago – Fixed and Mobile Number Portability
PortingXS installed and implemented the NP services for the operators. We started this project in January and at this moment the operators are connected to the platform and testing their services. After successful E2E testing the MNP service can be launched, which is planned for the end of March 2016.
Tunisia – Number Portability Solution
For the individual Tunisian operator Ooredoo, PortingXS has developed a gateway solution to granting them access to the centralized database for MNP and FNP.
Namibia – Number Portability System
In partnership with Virtua Technologies, we developed a number portability system. The solution implemented in Namibia is a locally hosted geo redundant Centralized Database solution with inter operator messaging. It follows the number porting process for Mobile, with IVR and SMS validation solutions in place.
Ireland – Fixed Number portability – Centralized Database Solution
PortingXS installed and implemented the FNP services for the operators. Project started January 2016 and services went live October 2016. The solution implemented Ireland is a Centralized database solution with Inter Operator Communications.
Belgium – Gateway Solutions
Development of gateway solutions allowing access to our Southern neighbours.
Benin – Mobile Number Portability – Centralized Database Solution
The solution implemented in Benin is an Centralized Database solution with inter operator messaging. It follows the standard number porting process for Mobile, with SMS validation solutions in place. We have implemented the solution in close partnership with our local entity PortingBenin.
Nigeria – Mobile Number Portability – Centralized Database Solution
The solution implemented in Nigeria is an Centralized Database solution with inter operator messaging. It follows the standard number porting process for Mobile, with SMS validation solutions in place. We have implemented the solution in close partnership with our local Partner InterConnect Nigeria.

Directory Services Ireland – NDD
The NDD is a record of all subscribers of publicly available telephone services in Ireland, including those with fixed, personal and mobile numbers who have not refused to be included in that record. The function of the NDD is primarily to facilitate the compilation of and access to information for telephone directories and directory enquiry services. The NDD also contains the preference of subscribers in relation to the receipt of unsolicited marketing communications.
