Connect with PXS at MWC Kigali 2025

Meet PXS at MWC Kigali 2025

Our third appearance at MWC Kigali is just around the corner! Next week, from Tuesday October 21 through Thursday October 23, we will return to Rwanda. Not only will our booth feature on the exhibit floor, we also play a key role in the first Ministerial Programme.

Let’s give you a preview of what we bring to the table.

Panel session on modernizing regulations in the digital era

On behalf of PXS, I will join the panel session Modernising Regulations for the Digital Era (October 23, 11:00-12:30). During this session, I’ll give our perspective on regulations for a market with rapid technological change and shifting customer expectations.

Please be advised that a GSMA invitation is required to attend the session.

Access to 100% accurate network and portability data

Our Number Lookup Gateway (NLG) provides real-time access to number portability data straight from the source. This helps with accurate routing, boosts call success rates, and allows number verification to prevent fraud.

For regulators and operators, the NLG is a secure way to share portability data while recovering costs through a transparent, usage-based model. The NLG also prevents the unauthorized access or distribution of network and portability data to third parties.

Cost-effective and off the shelf number portability

Our Number Portability Clearinghouse (NPC) is designed to introduce number portability fast and cost-effectively, as recent implementations in African countries show.

Enabling number portability is an important step in liberating the telecom market. As consumers can keep their number, they are free to switch to any operator they want. This creates a competitive telecom market, preventing monopolies and driving improved pricing, services and network coverage.

Take control of number management

Our Number Management System (NMS) enables you to view and update your national numbering plan in a secure platform, allow operators to request resources, and assign them instantly. Any update in the numbering plan is automatically broadcasted to all stakeholders.

Managing number resources is a vital part of the regulator’s operation – and it will impact telecom operators and end users when it’s not done well. A disorganized numbering plan may result in failed calls or text messages and causes issues with porting a phone number from one operator to another.

Centralize national SIM, subscriber and device details

The Number Information Register (NIR) helps you to create overview in national telecom data. A SIM Register can help you to limit the number of SIMs per person. A similar solution was implemented in countries like Ghana and Nigeria, where SIM cards are linked to the national ID.

The Subscriber Register provides subscriber information to emergency services while a Device Register helps you keep track of your country’s lost or stolen devices. Blacklist them to prevent them from accessing the mobile network.

Let’s talk more at MWC Kigali! My colleagues Bart Derks (Chief Product Officer), Jasper Maarschalkerweerd (Manager Customer Success) and I look forward to talking to you.
